Summer Getaway Anawangin
Rain or Shine its a Trekking Site,a Beach and Everything.
Last week I have been Out of Town to camp on a hidden paradise here in the Philippines. It’s a 2days and 2 night camping experience with my friends and girlfriends family. The experience was great since it is my first time to camp, living with no electricity. The target destination is Anawangin Cove, Pundaquit, San Antonio, Zambales, Philippines. The place is a piece of land between two bodies of water. A shallow river on the east which came from the mountain ranges, the South China Sea on the West and a great rocky mountain corners at the South and North suitable for Wall Climbing .
Before everything else. I want to give the details of our trip.
First is a long land trip from Manila to Zambales passing the North Express way and the newly opened and very wide SCTEX (Subic-Clark-Tarlac Express)
after a long ride we had a short break at the Clark Free Port to pee and stretch our legs.
after several hours we then landed on the sandy coast line of Pundaquit to wait for our Boat Ride.
Capones Islands behind us.
then the exciting half hour boat ride conquering the see waves which splashes on us frequently (the boat ride could make your sensitive stomach turn upside down because of the sea waves and sitting near the boat’s motor could damage ear because it sounds like a machine gun)
yet the scenery is great while aboard.
then after that is the non stop camping experience.
A perfect place with the ranges of Pine Trees and white sand(like snow) which makes it seem that its already winter if your on the land area.
The ranges of fine tree leads to a forest which is another picture perfect background.
next thing is walking through the shallow river watching weird fishes( jumping fishes with eyes on the top of their head) and sneaking with the small lobsters digging a hole for them to hide.
resting in the remnants of old pine trees is another attraction.
playing with the rocks and climbing it afterwards.
resting in the combination of sands and stones.hearing sea shells drop as you walk because of the afraid lobsters hide on their shells and fall after losing grip on their location.
and one of my most awaited things to do is to watch the sun set making the sky very vibrant.
and the last but not the least to do is enjoying the waves of the sea with its very with coastline with would dip you just right above your knee even if your hundred meters away from the shoreline.
I almost forget to mention its very fine sand which very relaxing that I fell asleep when I buried myself I forget that I’m not in bed I’m in Beach.
